Can't Leave Home Without IT

At last...getting back on this blog again. 3 months without Internet, or at least, without good access to Internet, makes me realize that in this recent time, we actually cannot live without Internet. Hey...we might not realize this at the first, but slowly the effect will surprise you...

That's what I felt about 2 months ago. No internet, no e-mail, no Facebook, no blogging, no browsing, etc. There was a strange feeling when I couldn't connect to the web. It's like something was missing. Or am I addicted to it? I dunno...

So I guess it's true, that we "can't leave home without InTernet"....

Cool Colors - Tataplah

Check this out...It's an old love song..90's Indonesian pop song, titled "Tataplah" and was sung by a boybands, Cool Colors, which consists of : Surya Saputra, Ari Wibowo, Ari Sihasale and Yohandi Yahya. The song used to be one of many Indonesian hitsongs back in 1995. The band itself didn't last long, just like the other local boysband. Enjoy it..

Puppet Show - our first production

On 2007, our church was selected to held a Children's Choir Festival, called PESPARAWI (Pesta Paduan Suara Gerejawi). It's a kind of Choir Festival for Sunday School children.
One day, me and my friend had an idea of making a special opening for the Festival. At the beginning, we didn't take the idea seriously, but later on, we decided to give it a try. We planned to make a short-movie with puppets for the opening. So we made a simple story for that. It didn't take too much in making the movie. Me and my friend played as the puppeteers, then 2 friends of mine took part as an "amateur" cameraman and a soundman. We used an ordinary HandyCam and a common microphone. As for the finishing, another friend helped us in editing the film, using Adobe Premiere. The film took place in our church's yard, so it's kinda easier for us, because we didn't have to find certain location.
Below is the un-edited version of the film, so forgive me if the video quality is not good enough. Next time I'll find the edited version to upload.

This was our first experience in making a puppet-movie. Before this, we always did the puppet show on a puppet-stage. So I guess we really learned a lot from it.
(Since 2004, me and my friends have been performing puppetshows in our church. Usually we performed on some special events , for example : Easter day, Christmas, etc.)

Are Rules Made to be Broken?

Take a good look at these pics. What would you say?

I took those pics at some location in West Jakarta. They show us how rules are made to be broken. In this case, it's the traffic rules. Yep, that's the reality of Jakarta's traffic condition. People often abandoned those rules, and the sad thing is that most of them did that on purpose and didn't feel sorry about it.

Picture #1 : someone was selling things with his car. It's not wrong at all to do that. What went wrong was, he didn't realize that all of his goods covered the car's brake lamp and sign lamp. Think about it! When he stopped his car, anyone behind it would not see the brake-lamp. It's kinda dangerous, right?

Picture #2 & 3 : oops..!! Some people were going to the wrong direction.. guess what? They did that on purpose...!!!

Picture #4 : another "shortcut-action", someone went to the opposite direction of the traffic. Also notice the bus at the end of a fly-over. The bus driver didn't drop passangers off on a bus-shelter, instead, he chose to drop them off right there! It's a kind of hazardous situation for them, right?

Well...those were only some examples of nowadays-reality about Jakarta's traffic condition.
Can anyone give us the best solution to overcome this phenomenon?(sigh.....).
